The BANSA HQ Mysteries #2 Comic Beginning (http://www.deviantart.com/view/10057898/) Kari sunk into one of the plush chairs of the BANSA HQ secret writers gathering room, and rubbed her temples. The day had been rough for her since all of the Bishen dragons enjoyed complaining to management rather than solving their own bloody problems. It was a lucky thing that she loved dragons so much, otherwise she would have long left to live in a hole. She looked around the table to see that only one other person had arrived. That was the legendary Captain Indy, who had gained respect from many a people and dragon. The red head was shuffling through a mountain of paper work for the most recent clutch, and most of that paper work was useless. She looked to Kari, "So, what time did you say we were all supposed to be here by?" "Oh... About eleven o'clock since it is Saturday." Kari said still rubbing her temples. Indy checked her watch. "They should be here by now." As soon as that was out of her mouth Lilu-bunni stumbled through the door. Quickly and gracelessly she fixed herself up and gave a proud, "HELLO!" Before flopping into a beanbag chair. "Well that's three of us, Captain." "That still leaves about four of us." Again the door flung open, this time it was Quis. She jogged to her seat and set her staff down besides her ready for the meeting to begin. She blinked a few times before she realized that a few members were missing. "You mean I was dragged away from my pretty boy filled video games for this?" She said to herself before turning to Kari to inquire what was going on. The demoness shrugged and retracted her wings in the same instant. "The girls may have ran into a bit of trouble... or should I say the did run into a lot of trouble." She could not decided what to do. Go and look for them or wait for trouble to find them. "I'll be right back," The demoness made her way to the door, but before she could open it it flung. No one was at the door. But there was an annoying speaking noise. With a shudder Kari looked down and saw the most dreadful site. A mini Jules! "OI! What the heck happened to you!" Kari exclaimed in a higher-than-the-norm voice. "The evil 404 monster shrunk me!" Oh no. "Why?" "...Um you see... it looked a lot like Snape from behind." "So... who wants to fix this mess?" The question was met with complete and utter silence. "Okay...." The door once again flung open. This time the blonde R-chan was at the door with something (or rather someone, because that was completely obvious) in her hand. "Guys! We have a major problem! Cricket was minified by the evil 404 monster!" Indy coughed. "Sorry R-chan, Jules has already fallen victum to the same problem." "... I ran all the way for that," The young girl set Cricket on the table before collapsing onto a chair. Quis suddenly perked up. "I know what we can do! We can send the dragons out to defeat the monster!" *You are CRAZY.* The black Kipfel hissed as he slowly edged away from the group of girls. "Well, yes, but we need your help," said Kari. Her voice was strained. *I JUST recover to find out there is yet ANOTHER crisis.* Decertare grumbled as she was practically dragged into the room by Alu. Shortly after Ashureii the green antisocial, Severus the glowering black, Raina Lynn the sociable red, Raistlin the Queen of Justice and Righteousness, and Halifax the bouncy blue entered the room in that order. Those were the dragons summoned for this little quest (May Gratira bless them.) "So, are you all ready for the quest?" Quis asked. Many gave a very annoyed *NO!* while two or three gave a happy chorus of *Yes!* "Well you don't have a choice!" Bunni said with a bit of a skip. *All right dragons!" Raistlin the Righteous took charge of the party. *Let's get the show on the road!* *Why, do we have to do this?* Ashureii asked the nearest dragon, who happened to be Severus. *I haven't the slightest. It's like they're trying to torture us into submission.* *That's a little extreme don't you think?* *When have the girls not been showy?* Ashureii paused. *I haven't been here that long.* If Raistlin had had feet she would have tapped them. *Dragons.* *We're coming.* Severus hissed. Halifax bounced around. *Weeeeee're on an adventure! We're on an adventure!* *Yes.* Dec said before she broke out into a full yell, *NOW SHUT UP ABOUT IT!* Halifax meeped, before hiding behind the closet dragon, who happened to be the sensible red, Raina Lynn. She shook her head and gave a sigh. *What is with you?* *Were you not around for the last incident?* *It was bad, but not that bad. I think you're overreacting.* Dec sighed. Sure, overreacting. She was on some stupid, godsforsaken, quest with a bunch of loony dragons. Admittedly, some of them were sane, but not enough to make much of a difference. Suddenly Ashureii squeaked at the company, *I found it!* She had gone ahead as a scout, Kipfel thought she had done it just so she could get away from the pack of dragons, and of course he was right. *How far do we have to go?* Raistlin, who will now be called Rai, asked. *Like, four feet. Turn the corner.* The young aboreal-terran rounded the corner to come face to face with the tackiest evil hide out, in fact, Alu gave a very out of character shriek when he rounded the corner. It was a burn- your- retinas cyan, that was apparently spattered with tacky I-should-have-been-red-but-dried-pink splotches. The effect probably would have been made even if the person was severely color blind. The dragons were all debating if this was worth it or not. With a sigh Raina Lynn was the first to head towards the wide open door... and through the empty hallways ... and where the heck was security or something? Rai and Ashureii popped their heads in after Raina Lynn had stopped at a particular room. *Find anything?* Rai asked. *A ping pong table, and that's about it.* *I think Kip, Alu, and Severus found a secret entry way... Hali and Dec found the food pantry.* Ashureii slipped her head from the door and headed to the secret entry, and there she waited for forty minutes until all her comrades hand finished decimating the kitchen. (Don't worry, they saved her something vegetarian.) The entry was just as tacky as the exterior of the building, and to make things worse it felt like it went on forever and a day. Finally after what seemed like four hours they made it to the evil villain's secret lab! *G-g-guyyyys?* Hali whimpered. Which was unusual, because she normally, ^_^ed, squealed, and danced most of the time. *What?* Kip sighed. She whimpered again. Ashureii looked back and gave a silent scream of shear terror. Kipfel would have an eyebrow raised, if it were possible. He turned around, blinked, then turned back around and walked up to cut of Rai. *What?* She said with a cock of her head. *Look behind you.* She did. *Oh.* Was what she said before yelling, *ABOUT FACE!* Which sent several dragons (Severus, Halifax and Ashureii) flying behind the nearest bookshelf or other bolted down object. It was DADADA! the Evil 404 Monster! The few brave souls left readied their magical objects in preparation for the battle ahead. Now the sorry monster would give them the cure or face the fury of dragons! Well... it should have gone that way. It didn't. The Evil 404 Monster cleared it throat. It did look somewhat like Snape when it stepped out of the shadows, but it had wings sprouting from it's back and also on closer inspection it looked much more feminine than Snape ever could.... It... was a girl. Half the dragons almost face palmed/tailed. Alu was the first to break the silence, *Miss 404 Monster of Evil?* "Yes?" *Could you do us a big favor and give us the antidote for Jules and Cricket?* "Why should I?" *THAT'S IT!* Ashureii screeched at the top of her metal capacity. *I don't want to spend ANYMORE TIME with these dragons and I'm sure they feel the same way. After all we could all be at the realm--or BANSA headquaters--or maybe even HOME doing something useful with our lives! You're going to give us that freaking antidote if it KILLS you, okay?* By the end of her little outburst her cheeks were a bright shade of crimson. The 404 Monster blinked. "Oh." She was caught off guard along with the rest of the dragons in the room. "I suppose if you've gone through that much trouble... but when I read the script it seemed like you hadn't--" She cut herself off. *Script?* Dec ignored that to the best of her ability. *Here's a question, did you have a reason to shrink Jules and Cricket?* "Only... the bit where I have to act evil. I had a good reason to shrink Jules... and I haven't the slightest idea who this Cricket person is." Hali flumped to the floor, *This is peachy. Do you think there's another 404 monster out there?* She wasn't asking anyone in particular, but the 404 monster answered. "I have a brother. He's the Custom 404 Monster...." It was Dec's turn to whimper. *You've got to be kidding me.* *YAY! Jules and Cricket are back to normal!* Hali bounced around with renewed vigor. *Yes. They are. Now I'm going to go to relax with Ira and there isn't a thing you ladies can do about it.* Kipfel stalked off with a huff. Rai grinned as Kari gave her a reward gift coupon. *Why thank you! I'll put it to good use.* "Don't spend it in one place. Now, Ashureii I--Ashureii?" Raina Lynn explained, *She went off by herself. She just wanted to say she never wants to go on a quest again.* "Severus too?" The red dragon nodded while Indy rewarded her with praise. "Can't have everything can we? Now who's left?" Dec was glaring at them from across the room, while Alu was fidgeting around. "Dec! Alu! I wanted to tell you Quis and I are giving you free weeks paid vacation to anywhere of your choosing. We were going to give that to the rest of them too... but oh well, and yes the rooms are separate." Dec snorted. Well at least ONE good thing had come from this. |
